Kirsten

Kirsten is one of the most amazing people you'll ever meet. She has had more experiences and has done more things than most of us could ever dream about.

She has two daughters, Kirie and Erika, who are her raison d etre. (Next time i'm up there, i'll take some pictures of them and post them here).

She plays violin in the symphony and has been on the same stage with Daniel Barenboim, Gil Shaham, and many other superb performers. She has worked with the conductor Daniel Boico for four years. She was the first violinist of the "Nature and Temptation" chamber ensemble in Boston. In addition to being a performer, she is also a writer of music and has had her compositions performed in Boston. She teaches violin and she has some students who have played more than 2500 days in a row, without missing a day.

She has finished the Boston Marathon three times.

She was in a dance company and danced for seven years. During this time, she worked for the gymnastics coach Steve Nunno who became the Olympic coach of Shannon Miller.

She is a painter, and she has also sculpted.

She has travelled to 33 countries and speaks Mandarin Chinese, English, German, and Japanese. She has lived in Germany, China, Japan, and the U.S. (If you are ever fortunate enough to get into a conversation with her, and you think it's taking her a little long to respond, please remember that she is processing what you're saying from the perspective of four different languages and is analyzing it from all those facets).

She has been ten feet away from a hunting leopard on the plains of the Serengeti.

As if all this isn't enough, she likes to watch marial arts flicks in their original languages.

She's good looking too! Wow! You go girl!
