Eric's Movie List
| Young Frankenstein | Although a comedy, it has some extraordinary acting. |
| The Frisco Kid | 1979. Gene Wilder plays the part of a Rabbi and Harrison Ford plays the part of a bank robber. This is probably my all time favourite movie. You just have to see it. |
| The Muppet Movie | The original, 1979. This has so many notable people in the same film it's amazing. Orsen Wells, Richard Pryor, Bob Hope, Madeline Kahn, Telly Savalas, James Coburn, Dom DeLuise, Elliot Gould, Mel Brooks, Milton Berle,Carol Kane, Cloris Leachman, Steve Martin, Paul Williams, and more. |
| Fiddler on the Roof | 1971. A classic. The scene where the Jews and the Christians are dancing together is priceless. |
| UHF | 1989. Weird Al Yankovic. Meet "Kramer" when he was Stanley Spadowski, and Fran Drescher before she was the Nanny. |
| The Matrix | 1999. A pretty good metaphor of the world. The world that people think they are in is just an illusion. Those who wake up see the world for what it is. Morpheus holds up a battery to Neo and says "This is what we are to them." Wow! We are nothing but disposable batteries that power the machines that make money for the few at the top. (H.G. Wells "Time Machine" comes to mind). |
| Second Hand Lions | Robert Duvall and Michael Caine play the parts of two uncles living in Texas. They raise a young boy. Their child rearing techniques/philosophies are priceless. |
